Mission
Forward Justice is a law, policy, and strategy center dedicated to advancing racial, social, and economic justice in North Carolina and the American South. Their work, organized into three strategic priorities, catalyzes success for movements, expands democratic opportunities for people affected by injustice, and accelerates national change. To build a more just, equitable, and free South, Forward Justice centers the need to change laws, policies, and practices; build a base of people and organizations; and shift narrative, culture, and values. Forward Justice Action Network (FJAN) purpose is to engage in educational and advocacy activities, to promote political and grassroots support for public policies that advance racial, social, and economic justice in North Carolina and the South.
