IN OUR OWN VOICE NATIONAL BLACK WOMEN’S REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE AGENDA
Mission
In Our Own Voice: National Black Women's Reproductive Justice Agenda is a national organization dedicated to amplifying and uplifting the voices of Black women in the ongoing fight for reproductive justice. They work at the national, regional, and state levels to secure reproductive justice for Black women and girls. Through strategic partnerships, they impact policies by educating policymakers, developing talking points and fact sheets, and conducting advocacy visits. They also train Black women to educate policymakers on the impact of bad policies on reproductive rights and health. Additionally, they focus on education and outreach, identifying Black healthcare professionals, students, and leaders to serve as spokespeople and promote policy and cultural change. They also provide leadership training to students at historically Black colleges and universities. Overall, their advocacy and policy change efforts aim to improve the health and well-being of Black women.
