The Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program is one of the most valuable tools ever created for financing the development of affordable housing. It has financed nine out of every ten apartments for low-income families. In addition, it helps improve the standard of living in the neighborhoods these developments are built in. It helps stabilize the community and provide safe and quality homes for many families. MHEG has been syndicating tax credits for 30 years and is proud to be a part of the program.

To date, MHEG has raised over $3.2 billion in equity and partnered in the development of over 750 acquisitions, creating 26,000 affordable housing units with no foreclosures or loss of credits to our investors.
