Philadelphia Lawyers for Social Equity (PLSE) educates the public about the impact of criminal history records and works with community organizations to help low-income individuals obtain expungements and pardons. Their mission is to create a more equitable social environment for those with criminal records through individual representation, strategic litigation, community education, research, and advocacy. PLSE seeks expungements and pardons, educates leaders, empowers communities, and leads reform efforts. They assist low-income individuals, file expungement petitions, and provide pardon services. PLSE also conducts community education, presentations, trainings, and publishes reports to promote the erasure of criminal history records and address systemic issues.
