Play Marin

Mission

Play Marin aims to promote diversity and inclusion in Marin County by providing extracurricular activities, including sports, for underserved populations. They believe that the unique experiences of different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds enhance the larger community. By intentionally giving kids from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to learn, grow, and play together, Play Marin fosters understanding and appreciation for others. They also aim to counter negative narratives about certain communities within Marin by highlighting the talent, compassion, and kindness that exist in those communities. Through engaging families from the larger Marin area with families from these communities, Play Marin strives to create a more inclusive place to live. Additionally, they provide a learning hub to support children who need extra assistance during online learning.
