Rock Steady Farm
Mission
Rock Steady is a queer* owned and operated cooperative vegetable farm rooted in social justice, food access and farmer training.
We were founded in 2015, and manage a total of 12 acres. In addition to our holistic, sustainable farming practices, we are working to increase equity in the food system and create safer spaces for queer and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) farmers to thrive.
We believe that all people have a right to healthy, delicious produce. Our vegetables feed a 450-member sliding scale CSA, which includes no-cost and subsidized shares made possible through our Food Access Fund. We also offer wholesale to select food pantries and mission aligned community organizations.
Our work is grounded in close community partnerships with other land based projects, neighbors, and non-profits who are also working to build equity in our region and beyond.
Our newest focus area is our public programs, geared to train and support other LGBTQIA+ farmers, educate the broader community and fuel movements for systemic change.
