At SVP we take an innovative approach to philanthropy. We believe that nonprofit organizations are indeed businesses and deserve the same counsel and investment as a for-profit would expect to have. As entrepreneurs, business leaders, and community advocates, we bring our areas of expertise into the nonprofit community to strengthen their capacity building. In addition to leveraging our dollars together and providing capital, we contribute our experience, our networks, and our professional skills to help build strong organizations and effective strategies for long-term success.

We get to know our Investees – their people, their goals, and their challenges–and we bring our expertise over a multi-year partnership. We have found this “time plus money” approach helps our nonprofit Investees increase their capacity to deliver bigger and bolder social impact in our community.

We believe that nothing truly great is accomplished alone. Every person in our Phoenix partnership has something to teach and something to learn. We know we have more to give, and that more needs to be done.
