The Max Foundation is a non-profit global health organization that believes in a world where all people are able to access high impact medicines, where geography is not destiny, and where everyone can strive for health with dignity and with hope. We are on a mission to accelerate health equity, one patient at a time. We do this by delivering free medication, technology, and services to patients facing cancer and other critical illnesses, focusing our energy on those who no one else is helping. We currently serve over 34,000 patients living in more than 73 low- and middle-income countries to access treatment and care. The patients we support are supported for as long as they need our help.
Our model is based around the knowledge that availability does not equal access, yet all human life has equal value and all people facing illness deserve immediate and effective treatment regardless of where they live. In fact, our "Max Access Solutions" model is the only global oncology model of its kind.
We carry out our work with team members based in Seattle at our global headquarters and local team members based in several targeted low- and middle-income countries (20 and growing). We partner with 543+ health care providers and 383 hospitals and clinics in the countries where we provide support, and collaborate with 75+ patient organizations to ensure regionally-relevant disease education, support, community building and medication adherence.
