Vida Volunteer

Mission

Vida is a non-profit humanitarian association that empowers individuals and provides free medical, dental, and veterinary assistance to underserved communities in Guatemala and Costa Rica. Their mission is to improve the overall health and well-being of these communities by bringing public health mobile clinics into rural areas. Vida also offers service-learning experiences for students and volunteers from around the world, promoting cultural competence and lifelong volunteering. They focus on prevention and treatment, promoting healthier lifestyles and providing basic dental care to those who would otherwise not receive any attention. Additionally, Vida helps control animal overpopulation through sterilization programs and offers educational opportunities in veterinary medicine. Volunteers gain hands-on experience and have a unique and interactive adventure with Vida.
