Women’s Justice Initiative

Mission

The Women's Justice Initiative improves the lives of Indigenous Guatemalan women and girls through education, access to legal services, and gender-based violence prevention. They provide free legal services to women with little or no access to the legal system, offer educational workshops on women's rights and legal literacy, and train women to be leaders and advocates. They have served over 575 women through their legal services program, graduated over 959 women from their rights education course, and trained 106 community advocates.
