Better Search Skills - Better Healthcare for India

Host Organization: QMed Knowledge Foundationmdi-circle-small Mumbai, Maharashtra, India mdi-circle-small http://www.qmed.ngo

About

In India, most health sciences students are not taught how to search medical literature properly. Strong foundations are critical, especially with AI tools emerging. QMed trains students to search smartly, produce stronger research, and build Indian evidence - not just rely on global studies - improving healthcare for millions.

Need

Evidence-based healthcare needs access to the best research. In India, poor search skills and over-reliance on foreign studies weaken our research strength. Even with AI, poor inputs mean poor outputs. Teachers, librarians, and students struggle to find reliable evidence, risking healthcare quality and research excellence.

Long term impact

Strong search skills will empower India's health professionals to create original, evidence-based research for our context. Research output will rise, libraries' investments will be fully utilized, and AI tools will be used wisely. Ultimately, India will lead with strong local evidence, improving healthcare globally.

About the Organization

To enable health professionals, institutions, patients and health consumers working in the health care sector, to obtain the best evidence from systematic research, in order to ensure accurate delivery and availability of optimal health care services.
