About

The Peruvian Amazon is home to a rich biodiversity of plants, animals, and indigenous communities, and it covers a large part of the country's eastern region. The region is often referred to as the "Amazon Basin" and includes both forested areas and river systems and is a popular home for Jaguars and other vital wildlife and plantations. Due to a number of factors we are loosing the rainforest at an alarming rate and putting all wildlife and indigenous communities at risk of extinction.

Need

Jaguars, along with other amazing wildlife, are threatened with extinction in the Amazon rainforest. A number of issues threaten the Amazon that includes human conflict, unethical tourism, deforestation, poaching and illegal hunting, climate change and disruption of the natural food chain. With so much of the Amazon being lost so quickly habitats are close to becoming extinct and many plants are being lost that could provide potential medical cures

Long term impact

Through research and education we can help promote these amazing animals to the locals and help them take ownership in ensuring they are protected. This will not only impact our environment but will also create local income through regular tourism to visit these animals. Along side this we aim to fund critical conservation research to influence leaders to act now before it is too late. We only have one chance and it must start now

About the Organization

Our Purpose Building an international community of people united in a common goal of making an impact on global issues, raising awareness of the need for protection of our environment, and meeting the challenges presented by natural and unexpected disasters.
