CCI - A Fireside Chat With Vu Le and Angie Kim

Host Organization: Center for Cultural Innovation

About

The pandemic has highlighted both the strengths of the nonprofit sector, and also a bunch of things we suck at. There are lots of great things going on, and a lot of crappy stuff. Vu and Angie will have an informal, probably profanity-laden fireside chat, where we discuss what’s working and what’s not.

Our sector’s involvement and lack thereof in advocacy and politics. The difference between conservative and progressive foundations and nonprofits and why the former has been so much more effective. The need for us all to confront the racism and inequity inherent within our field. The wrong lessons we are learning and what the right lessons are. And possible solutions we all need to embrace. Get ready to get provoked, maybe pissed off. There might be puppets.
