This Friday, April 6, join The University of Washington School of Medicine and Seattle Children’s Hospital for Grand Rounds: Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Global Mental Health of Children. Pamela Collins, MD, the Director of the Global Mental Health Program; Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences/Global Health, and The University of Washington will present.

Identified Professional Practice Gap:

1. This presentation will increase participants’ knowledge of the global burden of disease for child and adolescent mental disorders and their knowledge of approaches to address mental health care needs in low resource settings around the world.

Objectives: At the conclusion of the talk, participants will be able to use best practices to:

1. Evaluate the quality and quantity of evidence-based interventions for children’s mental health in low- and middle-income countries.

2. Evaluate the platforms (health care, community, societal) for intervening in child and adolescent mental health in the global context.
