How to Research Emerging Philanthropists [Webinar]

Host Organization: The Chronicle of Philanthropy

About

Finding startup entrepreneurs, rich millennials, or budding professionals ― and inspiring them to give – is a challenge for most nonprofits.

Traditional methods for discovering potential big contributors often fall short when nonprofits want to build ties with those who recently acquired their wealth ― or those who are likely to hit it big in the future.

Join us for this one-hour online session and learn from Jennifer Filla, a veteran fundraiser who specializes in prospect research. She’ll explain how to mine your database to find affluent people who conventional wealth screenings often overlook, and offer smart tactics for finding new philanthropists elsewhere, including online.

Plus, you’ll hear from Jason Coolman, a fundraiser at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, who leads a pledge program that targets alumni entrepreneurs and students who have high earning potential. He’ll share strategies for using your data to identify supporters with the potential to make large gifts down the road, and offer tips for forging mutually beneficial ties with them before they strike it rich.

This webinar starts at 2:00pm EST
