The Racial Equity in Arts Funding workshop was developed by Grantmakers in the Arts as a way to support arts and culture funders with nuts-and-bolts guidance on how to better serve African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, and Native American (ALAANA) communities/communities of color through their grantmaking. The workshop will include information on the history of racialization in the United States, the history of cultural funding and its relationship to racial structures, real-world examples of racial equity funding, and strategies and resources you can bring back to your organizations.
The workshop, part of the MA Arts Funders’ Network programming, is sponsored by the Krupp Family Foundation with additional support by the Wagner Foundation.
Please note: if you attend, you must be able to stay for the entirety of the workshop. Registration is on a first-come first-served basis with priority given to arts and culture funders. Space is limited to 40.
Please register by contacting Jessica Berns, Network Vibrancy Director, Philanthropy MA.
We are a nonprofit too. Donate to Giving Compass to help us guide donors toward practices that advance equity.
