California is facing another severe wildfire crisis, with multiple fires threatening communities across southern California. Several deaths have been reported, tens of thousands of families have been forced to evacuate, and many people have suffered significant injuries and burns. All donations to this fund will support wildfire relief and recovery efforts in California. Your donation will directly help people in need by providing food, water, and shelter through vetted nonprofits.
Californians now endure wildfires year-round, with families facing loss of loved ones and destruction of homes. People in low-income and marginalized communities often lack the resources to recover, leaving them most vulnerable. GlobalGiving's local nonprofit partners work directly with these communities and are often underfunded and overlooked.
All donations to this fund will support wildfire relief and recovery efforts in California. Initially, the fund helps first responders meet survivors' immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, medicine, and shelter. As needs emerge, we will support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organizations in the impacted areas, particularly those working with low-income, historically underserved communities. This fund will remain open throughout 2025 to remain responsive to new fires.
