We know that assistance is best provided by a network of experts and experienced service providers, but funding may be a barrier to successful implementation and continuity. We are working to align the resources received to fill the identified gaps quickly and effectively.
The Community Continuity Fund was established to support the immediate and evolving needs of our neighbors in Muscatine County created by interruptions in services; potential shortages; and gaps in nutrition for food-insecure children, families, and seniors in Muscatine County caused by coronavirus containment efforts. Funds are distributed to nonprofit organizations serving Muscatine and Louisa County. The Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine matched gifts up to $100,000.
Established in 1999, the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine was among the first 100 to be confirmed in compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations. Today there are about 500 accredited community foundations in the United States. Our programs and services touch hundreds of charities and thousands of Muscatine County residents each year.
We are a nonprofit too. Donate to Giving Compass to help us guide donors toward practices that advance equity.
