The Liberation Fund was created in response to the 2016 presidential election with the goal of supporting grassroots organizations led by women of color and transgender people across multiple social justice sectors.

To protect and advance the rights of women of color and transgender people.

Groundswell supports reproductive justice and health, particularly for women of color, low-income women, and transgender people. They award grants, build capacity, and mobilize grassroots campaigns.
