Just Impact advises donors of all types who wish to achieve maximum impact with their dollars in the movement to end mass incarceration. We are field experts who operate like an external program team, offering grants management, strategic assessments, donor education, and high-impact funding opportunities to our network of donors.

Mass incarceration in America is a social and economic disaster. Millions of people cycle through jails and prisons each year, and come out worse. 1 in 2 Americans has an immediate family member who’s been incarcerated. This traumatic cycle does not make communities safer and fuels deepening poverty. The system targets people of color, especially Black and indigenous people. Many see this as the leading racial justice issue of our day.

Right now, we have a once in a lifetime chance to change this. There is a unique convergence of opportunity, talent, and strategy to change policies and practices impacting millions of people. High-impact organizations are ready to absorb funding. The Just Impact fund structure increases the collective impact of individual donors by pooling capital and deploying it strategically.

About the Host

National Philanthropic Trust (NPT) is a public charity dedicated to increasing philanthropy in society. They offer various giving vehicles and philanthropic guidance to help individuals, families, and companies maximize their charitable impact worldwide. NPT also provides information on philanthropic issues and trends. In 2021, NPT awarded approximately 104,000 grants totaling $5.55 billion to charitable organizations and served over 14,000 individual donors. Since its inception in 1996, NPT has made over $23 billion in grants to qualified charities in 89 countries. They continuously enhance their offerings and services to better meet the needs of donors and advisors.
