The mission of CGLA is to seek justice and mercy for those living in poverty by providing legal services that strengthen lives, families, and communities. Since 2014, CGLA has focused our entire practice on low-income individuals who have current or past arrests and convictions. We address a high demand for legal services across Cook Country and the state of Illinois in matters involving criminal records, juvenile expungements and other emerging adults' issues, criminal defense, family law, housing law and civil asset forfeiture.
