Mission

Pride Foundation fuels transformational movements to advance equity and justice for LGBTQ+ people in all communities across the Northwest.

We envision a world in which all LGBTQ+ people live safely and openly as our whole selves in the communities we call home.

As the only LGBTQ+ community foundation in the Northwest, we partner with grantees, student leaders, donors, volunteers, and community partners to create a more equitable world for LGBTQ+ people and our families across the region. Guiding all of our work is a deep commitment to elevating racial justice.

We were founded in 1985 to build the ecosystem of support for LGBTQ+ people and our families in the Northwest. Since then, we have invested more than $80 million to:
• Power nonprofit organizations that are working to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ communities,
• Support LGBTQ+ student leaders on their educational journeys,
• Engage supporters and organizational partners in LGBTQ+ philanthropy, and
• Shift culture to be safe and inclusive for the breadth and depth of LGBTQ+ communities through strategic initiatives
