The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection. More important than ever, the goals provide a critical framework for COVID-19 recovery.
Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the 17 SDGs are intended to provide a framework for the global community with an ambitious completion date of 2030. Giving Compass is featuring six of the 17 goals to help donors dive deeper into the issues they care about. On each page, you'll find related learning resources and ways to donate.
We are a nonprofit too. Donate to Giving Compass to help us guide donors toward practices that advance equity.
