High school students and youth philanthropy club advisors are invited to a free philanthropic summit, the Youth Changemakers Summit, hosted by Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy and IU Indianapolis Admissions. Taking place June 12-15 on the campus of IU Indianapolis, participants in the summit will hear directly from professional experts about the field of philanthropy and the variety of career opportunities available with a degree in Philanthropic Leadership.

Should I Attend?

Are you a high school student who is passionate about a particular cause, like the environment or humanitarian aid? Do you want to engage more effectively with your community and advocate for change in the world? If yes, this may be a great fit for you.

Are you a youth philanthropy club advisor who teaches and mentors young people through nonprofit organizations or directly through schools? If yes, this may be a great fit for you.

What Will I Learn?

Participants in the Youth Changemakers Summit will learn more about IU’s Lilly Family School of Philanthropy –the first school in the world to offer bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in philanthropy. Professors from the Lilly Family School as well as graduates of the school will share their expertise and help student participants learn more about the field of philanthropy and grow as community leaders.

Youth attendees will participate in skills-based workshops that will prepare them for hosting a giving day in their own communities. In addition, they will participate in a networking event and The Amazing Race for Good!

The summit also will provide learning opportunities for advisors who teach and mentor young people through nonprofit organizations or directly through schools. Leaders and advisors will receive resources, research, and training to better support youth-led philanthropy in their regions.
