I am empowered.

I am persevering.

I am responsible.

I have been involved with Mil Milagros for six years. And in those six years, I have learned to leave my fear behind.

Before, I almost never left my house. I stayed in my house, closed off from the world. I just worked inside of my home, taking care of things around the house, and took care of my son. I rarely left.

But when I started to leave my house to go to the Mil Milagros trainings in my community, I knew that every Friday I would get to do something outside of the house. It felt like freedom. The Mil Milagros trainings helped me learn and open up my mind to new things. Now I know that we women can achieve things that maybe we didn’t think we could achieve before. Now I feel capable of anything.
