On December 14th, the FCC will vote on, and likely pass, a resolution to repeal a series of internet regulations commonly known as Net Neutrality. In short, Net Neutrality is the idea that the company that connects you to the internet should not be able to control what you do on the web. The current Net Neutrality rules accomplish this by preventing internet companies from favoring certain online content or websites over others.

At Data Does Good, we staunchly oppose the repeal of Net Neutrality  —  both as consumers and entrepreneurs. We believe that maintaining an open internet is essential to realizing the vast potential of the Internet, and that repealing Net Neutrality could have disastrous implications for the growing consumer data ownership movement that Data Does Good is helping to support.
