Hurricane Harvey has brought catastrophic amounts of rain and flooding to coastal Texas, inundating and devastating the city of Houston, causing deaths and sending thousands of people to shelters. The full effects of the storm on students, families, corps members, alumni and all those who live in the hurricane’s path will not be known for some time.

Just as education is a local issue, so we are taking our cue from our regional team members to get a full understanding of what families and community members need. As they learn in coming days and weeks of the full extent of the damage, they will share ideas on how to help longer-term.
