Tech companies have quickly grown into one of the largest sectors on the planet. Known for excessive spending and huge profit margins, it is important to recognize those tech giants who are doing some good with all of the profits being raked in.
That is why the following list of philanthropic tech companies has been put together. The three companies being highlighted, in no particular order, are as follows:
- Khan Academy
- This online resource is viewed by many to be one of the single greatest online learning tools available. It offers entirely free online classes in a variety of topics ranging from basic mathematics all the way up through much more complex topics usually only found at four-year colleges.
- Zappos
- On top of Zappos donating thousands of articles of clothing to those in need each year, it also values volunteering. It is one of the only companies in the world that will give their employees paid time off specifically to be used for volunteering in their local communities.
- Amazon
- Perhaps the largest tech giant of them all, Amazon offers a service called Amazon Smile. This charitable giving portion of their business allows you to choose a charity for which a small portion of your total order cost will be donated.
