Denis Hayes is president and CEO of the Bullitt Foundation where he leads the effort to mold the major cities of the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia into models of sustainability for a rapidly urbanizing planet. Under his leadership, the foundation designed and constructed the Bullitt Center — the world’s greenest office building. Hayes was also the principal national organizer of the first Earth Day in 1970.

In this podcast, Hayes talks with Paul Shoemaker, founding president of Social Venture Partners, about the upcoming 50th anniversary of Earth Day in 2020 and how we can find common ground in climate change conversations. He also shares ways each of us can make an impact.
