“If there is a vision of change in your heart, there is an activist within.”
SASA! Community Activists in Papua New Guinea are using their power positively to create the change they want to see in their communities. As part of the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (November 25 to December 10), activists from PSI’s SASA! Together Project engaged with their community members through sports, drama, film screenings and poster discussions to break the silence and spark critical thinking around community norms that perpetuates violence against women.
Sparking community-wide change and transforming imbalances of power between men and women through everyday activism is at the heart of SASA! Together.

Together Pilot in Papua New Guinea and follow their Facebook page to see inspiring photos of men, women and youth demonstrating activism in their own unique ways and challenging the norms around violence against women to create safe and violence-free communities.
