2019 Funders Institute: Removing Barriers to Advance Racial Equity from the Ground Up

Host Organization: Funders Together to End Homelessness

About

Funders Together to End Homelessness is excited to present our annual Funders Institute, held in conjunction with the National Conference on Ending Homelessness in Washington, D.C. The Funders Institute is our largest event for funders to learn from each other and experts about philanthropy’s role in preventing and ending homelessness.

The 2019 Funders Institute will focus on deep community work that’s advancing racial equity and how funders can support it, conversation about keeping homelessness and housing stability as key topics during the 2020 presidential election and Census, and peer learning on how funders should support their grantees in addressing racial disparities.

The Institute consists of a full day on Monday, July 22 and a funder-only workshop on both Tuesday, July 23 and Wednesday, July 24 during the National Conference on Ending Homelessness.

Joint Registration for the Funders Institute and National Conference on Ending Homelessness
Private funders (foundations, corporate giving programs, individual philanthropists, and United Ways) who wish to attend both the Funders Institute and the National Conference on Ending Homelessness should register through Funders Together.

Joint registration closes at 11:59 pm EDT on Thursday, June 20. After this date, the spots we have reserved for funders will be released for people on the National Conference waitlist.

Register for the Funders Institute Only
Funders are also able to register for just the Funders Institute on July 22. (However, this excludes the ability to attend the National Conference opening plenary from 12:45 – 2:00 on July 22.)

Registration for the Funders Institute only closes Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 11:59pm EDT.

Please note this event is exclusively for private funders, including foundations, United Ways, and philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs). If you have questions about registration or your eligibility to participate, please contact Lauren Samblanet, Membership and Program Coordinator, lsamblanet@funderstogether.org.
