Advancing Racial Justice in Philanthropy – Aspiration or Reality?

Host Organization: Harvard Kennedy School

About

On Wednesday, March 23, join the Institutional Antiracism and Accountability (IARA) Project at the Ash Center in the virtual JFK Jr. Forum for a discussion with leaders in the field of philanthropy about how foundations are working to advance racial justice and contend with its own colorblindness and white-dominant culture.

We will hear from Crystal Hayling, Executive Director of the Libra Foundation, which partners with groups working towards justice and equity; Rajasvini Bhansali, Executive Director of the Solidaire Network, a community of donor organizers mobilizing around the intersectional movements of racial, gender and climate justice and Amoretta Morris, President of Borealis Philanthropy, a social justice philanthropic intermediary working to resource grassroots movements for transformative change. Carmen Rojas, President and CEO, Marguerite Casey Foundation, will moderate.
