Race Forward, in partnership with a dozen national and local organizations, is proud to launch H.E.A.L. Together (Honest Education Action & Leadership) a new national organizing initiative to unite our communities around a vision for honest and fully funded public education as a foundation for thriving communities and a multiracial democracy.

A vision of a just, multiracial democracy is under attack on multiple fronts. These threats are the manifestation of our country’s long history of systemic racism compounded by the backlash against the growing movement for racial justice. One of the most insidious threats over the past year has been the assault on our public school systems’ ability to honestly and accurately teach the history and current context of race in America.

Join Race Forward President Glenn Harris, the H.E.A.L. Together team, and special guests, including Sum of Us author Heather McGhee, for the H.E.A.L. Together launch event and learn about how Race Forward and its partners are working to build grassroots people and narrative power to unite our communities. We’ll share how we are not only countering the anti-CRT movement on a school district level, but also working to win the schools students deserve, and advance a vision of a just, multiracial democracy that works for everyone.
