About
Ever feel like those of us who work in nonprofits are small potatoes compared to business and government leaders? The truth is, we’re bigger and badder than you might think. Nonprofit workers are the first responders and last bulwarks of our democracy – always, and especially now.
This briefing will explore the economic and social importance of our workforce, and how we can help policymakers understand and support nonprofit workers. We’ll get national data about the nonprofit workforce from Johns Hopkins University Center for Civil Society Studies. And we’ll get critical perspectives from New York City, California, and Michigan — all major hubs of the nonprofit workforce.
