People of color are dramatically more likely than white people to experience homelessness in the United States. Addressing racial inequities in homelessness means fundamentally changing the conversation we are having about the root causes of housing instability, risk for homelessness, barriers to exiting homelessness, and access to housing, community supports, and opportunities for economic mobility for people of color.
In March 2018, SPARC (Supporting Partnerships for Anti-Racist Communities) released findings from the first phase of their work to understand and respond to racial inequities in homelessness. During this webinar, Marc Dones and Jeff Olivet will provide an overview of these findings and share what they mean for the field of homelessness.
Join us for this webinar, which will help kick off and provide grounding for a suite of racial equity programming from Funders Together.
Please note: This webinar is only open to members of Funders Together, private funders, United Ways, and philanthropy-serving organizations. If you have questions about participating, please contact Stephanie Chan, Director of Membership and Programs, at stephanie@FundersTogether.org
