Building Changes: Washington State Student and Youth Homelessness COVID-19 Response Fund
About
The Washington State Student and Youth Homelessness COVID-19 Response Fund is a project of Building Changes and the Raikes Foundation. With the announcement that schools will be closed for the rest of the year, this fund is even more critical. With your donation to fund, we can quickly provide financial resources to community-based organizations and schools across Washington State to meet the immediate needs of young people experiencing homelessness during this crisis.
The fund will be getting flexible dollars into the hands of school districts and community organizations so that they can respond to the urgent needs of students and young people who are experiencing homelessness.
Here are examples of what the fund will help support:
-Financial assistance for housing, food, and basic needs
-Computer/hardware equipment for school and work
-Internet/Wi-Fi access
-Motel/hotel rooms for safe shelter and to allow social distancing
-Hygiene, cleaning supplies, and personal protective equipment
