As the capital region’s community foundation, we are uniquely positioned to respond to local emergencies. We have activated our Sacramento Region Disaster Fund, which we have seeded with an initial investment which has grown with the support of fundholders, individual donors, and other regional partners. We are preparing to rapidly deploy this funding to help address the challenges area nonprofits are encountering due to the virus.

The fund will support nonprofit organizations that provide vital services within the capital area and that face severe operational challenges and non-recoverable expenses as a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
