DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative
Mission
DC Collaborative is a member service organization that supports cultural institutions, individual practitioners, and other related professionals in advancing equitable access to learning opportunities in the arts and humanities.
DC Collaborative has engaged more 750,000 students in all eight wards of DC’s public education system, including public charter schools. We engage our members through education programs, professional development workshops, and collective impact efforts.
As a conduit organization, the Collaborative equips arts and humanities professionals with the resources, knowledge, and network that will improve their ability to effectively engage and educate public school students in Washington, DC.
Through our programs and services, we aim to ensure students have access to arts and humanities experiences that are culturally relevant, curriculum appropriate, and acknowledges various needs.
DC Collaborative constantly involves our diverse community in our decision-making. Through informal conversations, surveys, and other data-related strategies, the Collaborative collects information to continually evaluate our effectiveness and improve how we support our community’s work.
