Lever for Change Stronger Democracy Awardee

The Leadership Conference Education Fund builds public will for laws and policies that promote and protect the civil and human rights of every person in the United States. The issues we work on — from voting rights to educational equity to justice reform — have deep roots in our organizational history and across the communities we represent.

The Stronger Democracy Award is a competition to identify bold solutions addressing systemic barriers and advancing structural reforms in three key areas of U.S. democracy: Voting and elections, policymaking, and civic engagement. The Award is managed by Lever for Change, a nonprofit affiliate of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation that uses open and transparent competitions to help donors identify and fund high-impact solutions for significant societal challenges.

Funding Opportunities
• A gift of $1 million strengthens All Voting is Local's on-the-ground presence with organizing capacity to engage, train, and mobilize activist and partner networks in 2022.
• A gift of $5 million grows All Voting is Local's data program to identify how new rules affect voters, and puts that insight into action by scaling All Voting is Local's mobilizing capacity.
