Donate to help stop animal cruelty

Host Organization: spcaLA Los Angeles, CA, United States http://www.spcaLA.com

About

You, and donors like you, are the reason that Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) has kept millions of animals safe from harm since 1877. There is no government support. There is no national spca or humane society. There is only you. Donate to allow your spcaLA to investigate animal cruelty, to help break the cycle of violence for youth from at-risk communities, and to provide safe shelter, nourishing food, veterinary care, and so much more for abused animals.

Need

Animals are easily exploited and harmed. They have no voice. Without a strong, local advocate who can enforce animal cruelty laws, work to stop cycle of violence, and provide safe shelter, nourishing food, and veterinary care, the animals of Southern California will be treated like so much trash - thrown away, neglected, beaten, and forgotten.

Long term impact

There will always be dangerous individuals who prey on those who are weaker or smaller than they - but there will also always be spcaLA. We will remove animals from harmful situations and prosecute animal cruelty offenders. Our humane education programs will work to reignite empathy in participants, helping to stop animal cruelty before it surfaces and fostering a more humane generation. Shelter pets will continue to be provided excellent care while we work to find them new, loving homes.
