Help stop animal suffering in Chiapas, Mexico

Host Organization: ANIMALIX AC SAN CRISTOBAL DE LAS CASAS, CHIAPAS, Mexico

About

Animalix AC is a Civil Association created on January 24, 2014. We have five main areas of action: Animal Welfare: rescue, shelter, nutrition, medical care, deworming, vaccination, and sterilization Public awareness Dog education/training and socialization Responsible adoption Social networking Through these actions we contribute to improving the lives of animals, of public health and safety, and of the environment in San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas.

Need

Thousands of domestic animals live on the streets of San Cristobal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico. They are malnourished, sick and injured. Their current situation exposes them to multiple risks, including car accidents, mutilations, and poisoning. Others live in abusive homes with irresponsible owners where they are mistreated: they have no food, no medical treatment or they live tied up.

Long term impact

In seven years Animalix AC has sterilized and neutered 4297 dogs and cats. He has rescued 350 animals from dangerous situations. It has provided more than 600 medical consultations and treatments and 1,700 doses of vaccination and deworming. It has given almost 500 animals for adoption. Thus, we have been able to reduce the birth rate of street animals, alleviate suffering and provide a better quality of life for these wonderful four-legged friends.
