NDF has established "NDF REHAB CENTER" in Nawabshah, which is run by grants, individual philanthropy, Zakat, to cater needs of rehabilitation services like Physiotherapy, Psychotherapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, non formal Education & sports for 100+ children with boarding & Day Care. It needs your attention to donate please. NDF has scaled up services in Larkana & Gulistan e Johar Karachi to reach more children in need. NDF intends to open more facilities in rural areas of Sindh
Need
Mental health is big issue of the world to be addressed. Disability under mental health is called Intellectual Disability which causes Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, Dyslexia, & other forms of disabilities causes great hindrances in the child growth. These children are much ignored in developing countries, no proper rehabilitation windows are available in the hospitals. In rural areas you will not find single facility. This problem needs to addressed in rural areas of Sindh, Pak.
Long term impact
The Rehabilitation of such children needs time taking process, the impact is long lasting as one child is rehabilitated he/she may be mainstreamed. These children need proper attention to move forward but it needed untiring efforts & process of rehabilitation. The parents should encourage their children to avail facilities regularly as much possible to have rehabilitated child. Both Centers provide free facility, your donations will matter to provide facilities to the children in need.
