Help St Mungo's to end rough sleeping by 2026
About
St Mungo's aim is to end rough sleeping completely by 2026. We need your help to achieve this. St Mungo's are one of the largest providers of frontline homelessness services, supporting vulnerable people 365 days a year. Each night we provide a bed and support to 3,200 people who are affected by homelessness. Our dream is a country where nobody has to sleep on the streets and has the support they need when they fall on hard times. Please support us to end homelessness and rebuild lives.
Need
Homelessness is an emergency - the latest CHAIN statistics show that over 11,000 people were rough sleeping on the streets of London last year alone. Rough sleeping is extremely dangerous - the average life expectancy for people rough sleeping is just 45 for a man and 43 for a woman, almost half that of the general population. The economic impact of the pandemic has caused a dramatic rise in the number of people facing poverty and, as a result, homelessness.
Long term impact
St Mungo's ambition is to end rough sleeping by 2026. But we cannot achieve this alone - we need your support. Your gift will help to transform the lives of people experiencing homelessness, supporting our vital emergency, accommodation and recovery services. Last year, we supported over 32,000 people with housing, healthcare, key life skills and access to employment. Together we can ensure that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions.
