Project

Educate 500 Orphans in Syria

Host Organization: Masarat Initiative Gaziantep, 27, Turkey

About

If you took a satellite image of Earth, you'd see millions of children heading to school with bright eyes filled with life and hope, and little hearts carrying big dreams, except in Syria.. There you'd see thousands of orphans walk to work instead of school, their eyes tired, just like their small hearts burdened with great worries, deprived of parental care.. Our goal is to reach 500 of them, restore their right to free education, and guide them toward a brighter, hopeful future.

Need

Despite recent changes in Syria, nearly 196,000 orphans are still living under extremely conditions, they remain in camps because their hometowns are no longer habitable, they walk through the heat of summer and the cold of winter, not to their schools, but to work, which barely provide their daily sustenance. They are deprived of their basic right to education, and thus suffer the loss of their parents and the loss of knowledge, a double deprivation that threatens their present and future.

Long term impact

Through educating orphans, we empower them to achieve their goals and become self-sufficient individuals equipped with knowledge and skills to care for themselves and their families. We reintegrate them into the education system and provide vocational training to equip them with the necessary skills for entering the job market. This enables them to earn a decent income and improve their quality of life without relying on external assistance

We work hard to provide the learners with essential tools, materials and high-end technology to support their learning experience and ensure they have access to knowledge regardless of their geographical location.
