Riding Dakar Race for Children's right to PLAY
About
Help Pavel raise money to build a playground for children in Azraq Refugee Camp. He is racing the original Dakar Race trail to support children'e mental health through The Power Of Play. 47 years ago when Pavel was living in Czechoslovakia, for the first time he saw the Dakar race, and he made it his mission to do the race one day. Today not only he is doing the race but he is raising money to build a playground for children in a refugee camp, so they can also imagine a future for themselves.
Need
There are 24,000 children in Azraq refugee camp, with no access to any playground. There is no space for the children to get together, to be kids, and to feel normal. Right now children dealing with suffering, loneliness, and resentment.
Long term impact
This playground will last 11 to 12 years with minor maintenance. This will be a space for children to come day after day and get a glimpse of normalcy. Through out its life cycle this playground will impact close to 3,000 children's lives.
