Thanks to your partnership in 2024 Teen Feed will:

  • Open its doors to 25 - 50 youth each night
  • Offered over 20,000 nutritious meals to hungry youth
  • connected with over 400 individual youth in need
  • worked with over 2,100 volunteers, who donated over $600,000 in food and goods

History

In 1987, nurses from the University of Washington Medical Center noticed that many street youth accessing the emergency room were severely malnourished. The community responded, and faith groups, service providers, and neighbors came together to provide food to the University District’s homeless youth population. Teen Feed was born, serving youth with healthy lives, nutritious meals. Teen Feed is the only provider of meals specifically to youth and young adults in the University District open regularly every night of the week for food and support since 1984.
