Fort Worth, Texas - Hospice Patient Volunteer
About
We are looking for Superheroes with invisible capes to visit our hospice patients, who reside throughout the metroplex in their private homes and facilities. The volunteers will provide companionship and support to both the patients and their families.
Patients receiving hospice care enjoy the friendship of volunteers. Volunteers read to patients, hold their hands, listen to music, sing, watch TV, play games, share stories, or offer caregiver respite. Your companionship ensures that patients have quality at their end of life.
Orientation is short and arranged to fit your schedule. We have flexible hours, will write letters of recommendation, be a referral, and are willing to do a Non-Paid Internship.
With our flexible schedule, you can work as many hours as you are able/willing to volunteer.
