Volunteer Opportunity: Operations Manager

Are you a highly organized problem-solver who loves using your skills to make music and creativity shine? At Rainbow City Performing Arts, we’re looking for someone like you to step into the essential role of Operations Manager!

Who We Are

Rainbow City Performing Arts is a vibrant and diverse community of musicians and performers united by a mission to amplify LGBTQIA+ voices and stories through the power of the arts. Since 1998, we’ve provided safe, welcoming spaces for self-expression, creativity, and connection.

Our seven ensembles, including the Marching Band, Jazz Band, and Orchestra, celebrate individuality and champion inclusion while bringing meaningful performances to the Seattle area. From electrifying concerts to community engagement programs, our work builds bridges, uplifts marginalized voices, and fosters social change.

Why This Role Matters

Behind every unforgettable performance is a team working tirelessly to make it happen. That’s where you come in. As Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the logistics and operations for our events, from managing venues and transportation to ensuring our equipment is performance-ready. Your efforts will help us bring our artistic vision to life while creating seamless and accessible experiences for performers and audiences alike.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate performance logistics, including venue booking, equipment transport, and setup.
  • Manage and maintain inventory, including instruments, uniforms, and other performance materials.
  • Collaborate with Artistic Directors and production teams to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Support and guide volunteers involved in event logistics and operations.

Why Join Our Team?

  • Be part of an inspiring, artistic community dedicated to inclusion and self-expression.
  • Help create performances that celebrate LGBTQIA+ stories and bring people together.
  • Contribute your organizational talents to projects that make a real difference.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in event coordination, production logistics, or asset management who wants to use their skills for a meaningful cause. You’ll directly support a community-focused organization that blends creativity and social impact.
