Giving Compass' Take:

A law firm's corporate social responsibility program partnered with Artolution,  the Harvey Milk High School, and the Manhattan School for Career & Development (MSCD) to offer high school students throughout New York City the opportunity to participate in an arts initiative that will help young people express their concerns via a community art mural. 

• If more businesses adopt arts education initiatives into their CSR plans, it could really help promote the importance of art programming for young people.

Global law firm Paul Hastings LLP, through its Corporate Social Responsibility Program, has sponsored Artolution, the Harvey Milk High School, and the Manhattan School for Career & Development (MSCD) to organize and create the NYC Youth Resilience Mural Project.

The students from the two local high schools, which serve diverse and often marginalized youth from across the five boroughs are participating in this project as  part of an innovative new arts initiative by Artolution that gives young people a public platform to address some of the critical issues that affect their lives, such as gun violence, LGBTQ rights, and the immigrant struggles in New York City.
